DC announced that she is retiring from music after an incident in Paraguay last week.

It’s never an easy decision to quit something you love, but the internet is buzzing that pop artist Doja Cat has just done exactly that.

Everything started after Doja performances at Lollapalooza in Argentina and Chile, the pop singer Doja Cat was going to perform at a festival called “Asunciónico” on March 22 in the capital of Paraguay. Due to heavy rains, the event was canceled and there began a strong back and forth between Doja and her Paraguayan fans.

Following the storm, Doja’s Paraguayan fans got angry because she didn’t acknowledge or thank them before she went on to her next show in Brazil.

Doja Cat took to Twitter to express herself she said: ” it’s gone and i don’t give a f**k anymore i f***n quit i can’t wait to f**g disappear and i don’t need you to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and i’m a f**g fool for ever thinking i was made for this this is a f**g nightmare unfollow me.”

Not even twenty minutes later she tweeted: “This shit ain’t for me so I’m out. Y’all take care.”

Miley Cyrus, who was also going to perform at the festival, had to make an emergency landing and dedicated a song to Paraguayan citizens. For his part, Machine Gun Kelly, another of the artists who would be on stage, gave an impromptu concert outside his hotel.

Other international artists’ efforts, along with the fact that Doja Cat did not even speak out on social media about her visit to Paraguay and was hesitant with her followers, resulted in a social media backlash against the young artist.

“There was a storm in Paraguay, the show was canceled. When I left the next morning there was not a single person outside the hotel waiting for me,” Doja wrote on her Twitter account, contradicting what the fans said and the videos that went viral on the networks. But the thing did not stop there, because then she insisted: “Not one. Shut up.”

In a now-deleted tweet, Doja claimed no fans were waiting for her outside her hotel room, which her fans took issue with, making screenshots of the now-deleted tweets.

One Doja supporter, who goes by the username Alejandro, released a full-fledged threat, accusing the pop star of failing to come out of her hotel to meet supporters or check on them after the storm.

Doja fan tweeted: “she said no one was waiting for her at the hotel but she’s lying i have friends who were there for HOURS waiting for her to come and say hi (this video is in front of her hotel) people were singing her songs and waiting for her but she never came…”

Doja Cat wasn’t exactly humble or apologetic when her admirers bombarded her messages.

The Los Angeles native continued tweeting: ” i’m not taking pictures again with anybody else after this tour.”

Doja Cat is threatening to retire from the music industry altogether, but TMZ notes that she does have a tour with none other than The Weeknd this year, so fans remain hopeful that she’s just bluffing and will continue to do music.
