The controversial podcaster Joe Budden has recently faced backlash on social media for comments he made about Megan Thee Stallion.

Megan has recently been in the spotlight due to her ongoing court battle against Tory Lanez, who is accused of shooting her in the foot. The has garnered a lot of attention on social media, with many showing their support for Megan.

Despite being open about her struggles with mental health and the challenges of making it in a male-dominated field, Megan has been attacked for speaking out by some who have chosen to support Lanez instead.

Budden is one of the many influencers who have chosen not to support Megan. During an episode of his podcast, Budden voiced his dislike for Megan, stating that he has seen her “do horrible things to some really great people.”

On December 17, during his podcast, Budden expressed himself by saying: “Me personally, I've seen this woman do horrible things to some great people that I have longstanding relationships with here in this industry. So I'm biased.”

“You can't just treat my friends, and people I f*ck with, and people I've seen in this game for 15 years a certain way”: he continued.

This comment, along with Budden's general lack of support for Megan, has caused him to receive backlash from many of Megan's fans and supporters. One such critic was actress Vivica Fox, who called out Budden for his comments about Megan.

During an episode of Cocktails With Queens, Vivica A. Fox and co-host Claudia Angela Jordan reacted to Budden's comment.

In a strong message, Fox stated:

“Joe Budden if you don't button it up and sit your b*tch ass down hating on that girl. You all mad, cause girl is ruling rap. It's just driving you all crazy that the sistas is just ruling over and taking numbers and can tell you about yourselves, look sexy with it, it's a new day.”

Fox didn't stop there, adding: “But if you wanted some attention, to be honest with you, I think that's the wrong one to try to get it from because it's really coming out facts it's coming out after so many years of this trial being long-awaited that she was shot. So, you know, get used to it, brother, it's a new day. Girls are ruling, sorry Joe Budden.”

Despite issuing an apology to Megan for his earlier comments, Budden did not hold back when responding to criticism from Fox and her co-host Jordan. In fact, he fired back with strong words of his own.

Budden took things a step further by looking up Jordan's resume on Google. He proceeded to read her resume aloud, stating: “Claudia Angela Jordan is an American talk show host, actress, model, businesswoman, and reality television and radio personality. She is known for appearing as a model on the U.S. version of Deal or No Deal and The Price Is Right, and for competing on seasons 2 and 6 of Celebrity Apprentice.” He then went on to tell Jordan to “shut the fck up.”

The media personality directed his anger toward Jordan, saying: “Claudia Jordan…shut the fck up. You got to shut the fck up. It could get bad.” He then turned his attention to Fox, stating: “Once regarded as the Black woman, all of America wanted to be with, just so we're clear on that…Long fall from grace. You b*tches don't know how to usefully use your p*ssy broth is the problem. Be very careful with how you continue to speak about me because I got right here .”: he continued.

While continuing to criticize actress Vivica Fox, he insulted her acting career by calling it low-quality movies and claiming that she is not talented or successful enough to be relevant in the entertainment industry. In his comments, Budden belittled Fox's talent, referring to her and her co-host as “old hoes” and using other demeaning languages.

“Let me tell you girl, right here in 2021 “Aquarium of the Dead”, 2020 some shit called “Arkansas” then you was in hooking up, then she was on “Rev” in 2020, 2019 “Fire and Rain”, 2018 some shit called “Kinky”. 2018 “Unthinkable” and “The Wrong Friend”- what is this bullshit you was in …” Sharknado”. In 2018 you had a breakout here. She was in the “Sky Princess, “True To The Game” and “Bring It On” that 2017.”

“Vivica Fox shut the fck up before I book you for a movie you don't cost but five dollars to get it done.”

“I will book that entire Fox old show for 75.99 you b*tches better leave me alone. Mind your f*ckin ass business, this is a hip-hop matter that we talking about. The fck!”: he said.

Budden went on: “Horrible managing of the p*ssy broth. They don't put y'all hoes in “Law & Order.” They don't put y'all in “Black-ish”, or “Grown-ish”. Y'all weren't in “Insecure”. Y'all ain't sh*t. Y'all better keep my f*cking name out of your mouth until y'all get a casting call that goes well.”

In the same podcast episode, Budden acknowledged that his jokes about Megan's mental health were inappropriate and showed a lack of sensitivity. He issued an apology for making such comments.

“I'm apologizing to Meg,” Budden said. “Meg, the people that love her, her handlers, her team, the people that have to support her through what has to be an exhausting trial. I listened back. I got a few phone calls from women that I love and appreciate and admire.”

Budden went on to say that he regretted joking about Megan's mental health and recognized the importance of being careful in discussions about sensitive topics. “I'm apologizing for the careless manner in which I joked about her mental health,” he said. “That's not funny, because whether you believe her or don't believe her, can you afford to be wrong? The answer is no.”

It remains to be seen whether Budden's apology will be accepted and if it will help to repair the damage caused by his earlier comments. It is important for all individuals, especially those with a public platform, to consider the impact of their words and to strive to be respectful and mindful in their interactions with others.
