Lizzo Claps Back At Aries Spears After Winning The Good Video Award At The VMA’s

Stand-up comedian Aries Spears made headlines recently when he made comments about Lizzo's appearance during an interview with “The Art Of Dialogue.”

Aries Spears is a comedian who's made a career out of making fun of others. So it's no surprise that he had something to say about Lizzo, a singer and rapper, who has been making waves in the entertainment industry for her music.

During an interview with “The Art Of Dialogue” on August 25, Aries Spears was asked if he'd heard of Lizzo. His response? “I can't get past the fact that she looks like a sh*t emoji.”

In the interview, Spears commented on Lizzo's appearance by saying that she is beautiful “but she keeps showing off her body.”

“Very beautiful girl, she's got a very pretty face but she keeps showing her body off. I ain't the most in-shaped n**gga in the world but I know when you funny and you got swagger and confidence and you decent looking. I think I'm at least handsome. You get p*ssy. But a woman that's built like a plate of mashed potatoes is in trouble.”: he said.

The interviewer reacted by saying that Lizzo is a “good songwriter.” This comment prompted Spears to say: ” Oh yea she's is dope. Her music hard, her body ain't.”

Spears continued to make statements about people who would not accept his opinion..: “Oh man here they come the wall of Braveheart. Like the battle on the field coming over the hills. Are you ready for a war? You can hear the horses thumping on the ground. Here he comes: Who that mother f**cker think he is?”

“You know what kills me about women? Is the hypocrisy and the contradictions. Yes, Queen slays, Queen yes, Queen your confidence!! But f*ck diabetes, f*ck heart problem, f*ck heart disease, cholesterol.”

“We all claim Womanhood and about Sisterhood and support for your sister. When it comes to that ridiculous sh*t. But if you really gave a f*ck why wouldn't you go, black girl, we love you, we love your confidence Boo Boo. But this ain't it. This ain't it. That's real love.”

When The Art Of Dialogue host pointed out that Lizzo has spoken about how she feels uncomfortable when her weight and body size are the subject of jokes, Spears reacted by saying it is the overweight rapper's own fault.

Spears reacted by saying: “How you gonna have issues but at the same time show your whole ass at an NBA game? As a comedian, we take what the defense gives us. If you don't want to be put out there then don't put it out there.”

When the interview went public, Lizzo fans and supporters were understandably upset and took to social media to voice their frustration with Spears' comments and remarks.

Vanessa La Rue Veasley tweeted: “The Lizzo hate still really gets under my skin because all that woman does is put out good music, lover her beautiful self, AND cheer for everyone else to win.

Another supporter tweeted: “Meanwhile, Lizzo is twerking and jumping around onstage while playing a whole ass wind instrument, and this man is dealing with labored breathing just sitting and hating.”

Lizzo fans and supporters were not happy about the comedian's remarks—and neither was Lizzo herself!

Yesterday on August 28, Lizzo won an award at the VMA's (MTV Video Music Awards) for the good category. In her acceptance speech, she addressed her haters directly:

“And now to the bitches they got something to say about me in the press. You know what? I'm going to say nothing. They gonna be like, ‘Lizzo why ain't you clap back? Why ain't you clap back? Cuz b*tch I'm winning, I'm winning ho. Big b*tches is winning ho. Best revenge in the paper ho.”
