Young Thug revived the beef a year later when he threatened to hit YFN Lucci. The rapper Lucci ridiculed publicly Thug's ‘So Much Fun' album in 2019, triggering a response from the Thug on social media. Thug responds on IG: “If ain like what u do for your mother and kids I WOULDVE BEEN KILLED U.”

In May of that year, YFN Lucci's Mercedes SUV was shot up in Atlanta. The attempted murder of Lucci was the third in ten days. Young Thug's vehicle and two-party buses had previously been targeted in Miami. Thug was driving a Ferrari with two buses beside him on Interstate 95 when an unknown person pulled up alongside them and opened fire.
