Young Thug and YFN Lucci

The feud between Young Thug and YFN Lucci began in 2017 when Thug referred to himself as the “new ” and Lucci responded by tweeting: “Pac would've never wore a dress.”

Young Thug revived the beef a year later when he threatened to hit YFN Lucci. The rapper Lucci ridiculed publicly Thug's ‘So Much Fun' album in 2019, triggering a response from the Thug on social media. Thug responds on IG: “If ain like what u do for your mother and kids I WOULDVE BEEN KILLED U.”

In May of that year, YFN Lucci's Mercedes SUV was shot up in Atlanta. The attempted murder of Lucci was the third in ten days. Young Thug's vehicle and two-party buses had previously been targeted in Miami. Thug was driving a Ferrari with two buses beside him on Interstate 95 when an unknown person pulled up alongside them and opened fire.

The rivalry between Thug and Lucci has gone on for years.

Lucci turned himself in for a murder charge filed against him in January 2022, he was accused of driving a vehicle that was involved in an Atlanta shootout during which one of his passengers in the car was shot and later died.

Lucci claimed in March that he was stabbed in jail and is afraid for his life.

Thug's lawyer, Brian Steel, asserted on WSBTV that his client is innocent: “Mr. Williams committed no crime whatsoever and we will fight to my last drop of blood to clear him”
