Memphis underground artist T. Scales just dropped a heavy new track titled Ooh Wee.
He spent years grinding in the local scene, switching gears between gospel rap and raw trap music. Now he is holding it down as the VP of The Fatt Knott Perspective, Inc. This single gives a real taste of what is coming on his upcoming studio album, Raleigh’s Greatest Hits, which maps out his life and times in Northeast Memphis. On this track, his delivery brings pure energy.
He commands the mic right from the jump with a heavy Southern presence. There is even a funny, self-aware line about his grandma that cuts right through the tough talk. It is an authentic look into the Memphis scene. What do you think? SPIN or BIN? Vote above.
