A Doja Cat fan was detained after making a bomb threat outside the concert in Indianapolis on Saturday, January 8th.

The free concert at Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis attracted a large crowd ahead of Monday’s College Football Playoff national championship.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department verified to the Indianapolis Star that a guy attempted to advance his place in line by informing individuals behind him that he had a bomb or explosion in his bag just before 5 p.m.

Following the event, authorities pulled people away from the gate area.

Authorities investigated the threat and swiftly discovered that the man’s luggage was empty.

In order to shorten his wait at Monument Circle in Indianapolis, the man said he had a bomb in his bag. Later, police confirmed that there were no explosives on the scene.

IMPD issued a statement on Twitter about the news, stating:

“IMPD officers responded to the threat, searched his bag, and did not find an explosive. The man had unrelated outstanding warrants and was immediately arrested for those. He currently is in police custody. Police believe there is no active threat and the investigation is ongoing.”

Although there was a 20-minute wait in getting into the event venue, Doja Cat’s performance went on as planned.
