One of the fans wrote: “Tbh goonew deserved way better in my opinion, long live him tho.”
“This is so wild and disrespectful. Some must not understand how death works. The soul is no longer in the body. So the body is literally just a corpse. This is so pointless but to each its own. I hope he rests in peace bc THIS isn’t peace.” wrote another fan.
The legend himself, 50 Cent, had something to say about the event.
The nightclub Bliss said they were unaware the body was on display when they rented out the venue.
On Twitter, an employee mentioned that she was shocked by the entire event.
Patrice Parker Morrow, the rapper’s mother, told WUSA (a CBS station) Saturday night that her son was shot while on his way to give his younger sister a birthday present. “He had a heart bigger than his body. When they took him, they took me.
The Maryland artist’s first mixtape, Certified Goon, was published in 2017, and his debut album, Still Servin, was released two years later. The rapper collaborated often with fellow Maryland rapper Lil Dude.
Members of the DMV rap scene, including A$AP Ant, IDK, YungManny, and Redveil, have paid their condolences to Goonew on social media in the days after his death.
