Young Dolph dead at 36 shot and killed in Memphis

November 17, 2021 – Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr., better known by his stage name “Young Dolph” has been shot and killed in his hometown.

The Memphis rapper was gunned down outside at the Makeda’s Butter Cookies store, located at 2370 Airways at about 1 pm in Memphis.

A source says that Young Dolph went into the store and a vehicle pulled up firing a front window and striking the rapper.

Young Dolph has been targeted in the past.

Back in 2017, he was struck by multiple bullets outside a shoe store in the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles getting hit in the arms and buttocks According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an argument between Dolph and three men escalated into a physical altercation that ended in the rapper being shot multiple times.

Young Dolph had surgery earlier that year and was shot more than 100 times while he was in Charlotte NC before a CIAA basketball game. Fellow Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta and two other men later turned themselves in to authorities.

Dolph reportedly walked away unharmed, despite his car being shot at more than 100 times.

No one would have been injured.

Following the shooting, Dolph tweeted “U loose” with a laughing, crying emoji.

In 2016, Young Dolph released his debut studio album King of Memphis. The album peaked on the Billboard 200 chart at number 49.

The Rich Slave album followed in August 2020 with the single RNB featuring Megan The Stallion.

Dolph’s friends, fans, and family are hit with emotion right now.

Young Dolph leaves behind a son and a daughter.
