In SPIN or BIN, Dilemaradio listeners get the chance to give their opinion on the latest releases. This time it was 'RED EYE WRIGHT - ZINFANDEL'. We've got a hit, because the listeners have spinned it! 🤩
Red Eye Wright is proof that the DMV never sleeps on a wordsmith. He stepped away from rap for 15 years to fight cancer and build a life around marriage and fatherhood, then came back writing like someone with nothing left to hide behind.
“Zinfandel” takes the wine-and-growth metaphor and runs with it, comparing himself to a fine vintage getting better with age. The verses move fast and land clean, packed with wordplay about self-worth and staying real in a city built on status.
It’s a concept track that trusts you to keep up. Off the strength of “45 Days” and “Alicia Keynote,” Red Eye’s building a reputation as one of DC’s sharpest rising voices. Press play above and drop your verdict, SPIN or BIN?
