FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla – The highly anticipated trial of rapper YNW Melly took an unexpected turn as a mistrial was declared after jurors could not reach a unanimous decision. They spent three days talking about it, but in the end, they couldn’t come to a definite conclusion in the case of the rapper being accused of a double murder.

The lawyers in Broward County, who wanted to give YNW Melly the death penalty, will probably decide to have another trial with a different jury to decide his case. In Florida, they need everyone in the group to agree either that he’s guilty or not guilty.

Broward Circuit Judge John Murphy made two attempts to encourage the jurors to continue deliberating despite their deadlock. However, after they returned a third time without a resolution, he decided to declare a mistrial, leaving the fate of YNW Melly uncertain.

Following the mistrial declaration, YNW Melly’s manager, Jameson Francois, also known as 100k Track, expressed his optimism about the rapper’s future. “It’s a second chance. I’m excited. I’m excited for Melly to come home,” Francois said, holding on to hope for his client’s eventual release.

Lawyers involved in the case expressed their disappointment with the mistrial outcome, with many of them hoping for a different resolution that would secure their client’s freedom. However, as the mistrial stands, YNW Melly will return to Broward County jail, awaiting a retrial for the double murder charges he faces.

According to YNW Melly’s mother Jamie King, out of the 12 jurors, 9 stated that he was not guilty, while 3 jurors found him guilty. King wrote: “9 not Guilty 3 guilty it was a mistrial. My son will be home God is still working.”

In an exclusive interview with the Law&Crime Network, YNW Sakchaser’s aunt shared her sentiments regarding the possible outcomes of the trial. She expressed her hope that if YNW Melly is convicted of Sakchaser and YNW Juvy’s murders, he would be sentenced to life in prison instead of facing the death penalty. Reni McNeal, YNW Sakchaser’s aunt, stated, “I’m not big on the death penalty. God should have judgment on someone.”

Reni shared that her nephew, YNW Sakchaser, had a feeling that something bad was going to happen. “Sak knew a lot of stuff was going on,” she explained. “Our family, we see stuff and feel stuff before it happens. He probably didn’t think they would do him like that.”

In another revelation, Reni said that YNW Melly allegedly skipped YNW Sakchaser’s funeral, attending only a family dinner after the ceremony. Reni, who was present at the gathering, vividly recalled the rapper’s demeanor, stating, “He came in dancing, happy dancing. I remember that day; he came in dancing.”

People still remember the conversation between Trippie Redd and Melly. During their talk, Trippie asked where Melly was heading, and Melly replied, “On the way to the damn funeral.” After that, he was laughing and acting silly, not sad at all, quite the opposite, really happy.

The legal fight is still going on, and we don’t know what will happen to the young rapper. People who love YNW Melly’s music are eagerly waiting to see what happens next.

As of now, YNW Melly finds himself back in the familiar confines of Broward County jail, where he has already spent many years.
