Just when you thought you'd heard everything there was to know about Tekashi 6ix9ine, he's back in the news.

Complex reported on Thursday (December 23) that 6ix9ine is being sued by a concert promoter who says the rapper skipped an event.

JJD Entertainment is reportedly suing after he was allegedly paid to appear and perform at an event in Humble, Texas.

Jamie Dominguez's firm paid $75,000 for to take the stage, but he flew in, received the money, and flew out.

The lawsuit says the rapper was supposed to receive $45,000 when he signed the paperwork and $75,000 when he arrived at the venue. According to reports, the corporation also spent $28,000 for 6ix9ine to fly from Florida to Texas aboard a private plane.

Things didn't get any better in the days leading up to the show, according to Dominguez, who claimed that 6ix9ine's team attempted to renegotiate the contract on many occasions. JJD Entertainment claims to have spent $178,649.70 on the event, despite a budget of only $178,000. In addition, they spent over $100,000 on the venue, concert producers, security, and insurance.

6ix9ine discussed the performance with TMZ, claiming that he canceled because the promoter never paid him to appear. JJD Entertainment retaliated against 6ix9ine, claiming that he was lying and that they would seek restitution for their losses as well as sue the rapper for slander.

“Shortly after Defendant, Daniel Hernandez failed to perform in accordance with the agreement, he went on a Livestream with DJ and stated that the contract price was $250,000.00, that he received a $45,000.00 deposit, and $70,000.00 in cash, knowing that those statements were false,” according to court documents. “On that Livestream, Defendant Daniel Hernandez adamantly maintains that the sole reason he departed the event venue was that he was not paid, despite the fact that he knew that statement was untrue.”
