Social Media Strikes Back At Kanye West And His “White Lives Matter” T-shirt

The backlash to Kanye West and Candace Owens' “White Lives Matter” shirts continues on social media.

Kanye West had his Season 9 fashion show in Paris on Monday, and it wasn't your typical runway event. The rapper made a bold statement by using Black models to wear “White Lives Matter” shirts, which he created himself.

Twitter user Blue Alexia expressed her thoughts about the Black models wearing the White Lives Matter shirt: “Kanye West making Black models wear ‘white lives matter' shirts is a culmination of his anti-blackness and his immersion in white supremacy ideologies and methods. Disgusting.”

Ye took to the runway at his Jeezy Fashion Show in Paris wearing a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt, which featured an image of the Pope on the front.

After the display, people took to social media to express their outrage. Among those voicing their opinions was rapper Boosie Badazz, who mocked West for his action.

Boosie wrote: “DAM Kanye West U just going to keep using your platform to sh*t on your own race like this. This sad. N the black people who still support you r even sadder!! LAST TIME SPEAKING ON THIS CLOWN. #kanyewestdoesntlikeblackpeople DO US A FAVOR N BLEACH YOUR SKIN ALL WHITE!! Thanks”

Dr. Rashad Richey, respected by Dilemaradio and many others, shared his thoughts on the matter with the following message: “The Black Delegation has made a final decision… Kanye West and Candace Owens refuse to wear a Black Lives Matter shirt, criticizes those who even say the phrase, and they out here on these streets on some straight “yessa massa” Sh*t!

For those West and Owens who don't understand or refuse to acknowledge the Black Lives Matter movement, we will explain it again.

Black Lives Matter is a movement that began with the death of Trayvon Martin in 2012 and has evolved into a worldwide movement for social justice. It was founded by Patrice Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi to bring attention to the extrajudicial killings of young Black men and women by law enforcement officials.

The movement has been criticized for being anti-white; however, the founders have stated that the movement is not about hating white people but rather about advocating for the protection of Black lives. They also believe that a lot of people are not aware of the injustices faced by African Americans and therefore do not understand why they need to support Black Lives Matter.

Black Lives Matter isn't just a slogan—it's a means of raising awareness about issues affecting black people in our country.

While we can all agree that ALL lives matter, the fact remains that there are significant disparities between how white people and black people are treated by police and in the criminal justice system. To ignore these facts would be irresponsible and counterproductive.
