While serving his sentence in prison, yesterday night (Dec 8) R. Kelly released a 13-track album titled “I Admit It” that addresses the numerous allegations of sexual misconduct against him. However, the album has been swiftly removed from major streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
The circumstances surrounding the release of R. Kelly’s album and the person or entity behind its distribution remain unclear. A source at Sony Music has informed TMZ that the release is not an official one from the company and seems to be a bootleg version.
The album contains 13 songs, some of which are titled “Where’s Love When You Need It,” “She Deserve,” and The Last Man Standing.”
Kelly, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, was convicted in June of racketeering and multiple sex offenses involving minors. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
The track “I Admit it” is a 19-minute confessional from Kelly. It was originally uploaded to SoundCloud in 2018 but was recently leaked to Apple Music and Spotify, only to be removed from both platforms.
