LA Rapper 03 Greedo To Be Freed From Prison, Releases “FREE03” Mixtape
It’s a moment that fans of Los Angeles rapper 03 Greedo have been waiting for: the artist, whose real name is Jason Jamal Jackson, is set to be released from prison on Thursday, January 12.
The Los Angeles rapper was sentenced in 2018 to 20 years in prison after accepting a plea deal on gun and drug charges in Texas. He had been facing a possible life sentence for first-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

On his Twitter account, Biz Markie tweeted: “Out of respect for Greedo’s right to break the news however he wants to break it, I can’t officially confirm anything. But this Texas parole info is accurate. 03 should be coming home at some point this week. A 5-year nightmare finally coming to an end.”
The rapper’s release from prison marks the end of a difficult chapter in his life and the start of a new one.
