Timothy Cornell Patterson better known as Mozzy is currently at the top of his game.

Growing up in the rugged environment of Sacramento’s Oak Park neighborhood, Mozzy went through a lot.

As a teen, Mozzy dreamed of becoming a successful rapper.

During his adolescent years, Mozzy had already worked hard to emerge in the local rap scene by releasing various mixtapes under the pseudonym Lil Tim.

Mozzy began to make a name for himself in the Bay Area between 2011 and 2014 by putting out numerous mixtapes, among which “The Tonite Show with Mozzy” (2013) with Dj Fresh a Dj / Producer from Oakland.

During this period he also established the independent label Mozzy Records together with long-time associate E-Mozzy.

Despite his growing success, street life would, unfortunately, have major consequences for him.

Just after becoming a father for the second time, he was arrested for firearms possession and violating his probation. He has since declared this to be the darkest period of his life.

After doing his time Mozzy became focused on turning his life around and started to concentrate more on his music career.

His passion and perseverance for music have ensured that he get out of the struggle.

The solo album Bladadah which he released in 2015 is being considered by most as the turning point in his career. He was even recognized by Complex magazine for having the “best-run” of 2015 and by Rolling Stone for having the 22nd best rap album of 2015.

At the Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2018, during Kendrick Lamar‘s acceptance speech. He gave a shout-out to Mozzy by saying: “God Up Top”, real talk.

This was immediately picked up by millions of viewers and the name Mozzy started to circulate like a spear on social media.

It wasn’t long before the whole country knew who he was.

Ever since Mozzy continued busting out quality records.

Not only has Mozzy collaborated with the legendary Nipsey Hussle, he now appears in the soundtrack “Last One Standing” from the movie Venom: Let There Be Carnage together with Eminem, Skylar Grey, and Polo G.

Mozzy dropped recently a new dope album “Untreated Trauma” one of the best rap album of 2021 which is now available https://music.empi.re/untreatedtrauma
