The Memphis rapper, Pooh Shiesty‘s trial begins on October 25, where he will face a possible life sentence.
On June 8th, 2021, Shiesty turned himself in after law enforcement put out a warrant for his arrest for an incident at the King of Diamonds Club in Miami.
The incident occurred during his performance at the Miami club. Apparently, someone stole a pile of money hanging from the back of Shiesty’s jeans. This caused Shiesty to pull a gun from his waistband and aim the gun at a security guard who was trying to calm the situation down. Shiesty reportedly fired a shot that hit the guard in the ankle.
Unfortunately, this is not the only case that Shiesty is involved in.
The most serious case at the moment is an earlier case from last year.
Apparently, Shiesty went to a parking lot in a rented bright-green McLaren. They were originally going to buy a pair of high-end sneakers, as well as some narcotics. When the transaction was about to go down Shiesty ended up changing his mind and turned it into a robbery. That’s when Shiesty takes a gun out of his pocket and starts firing. One of the guys got hit in the hip and the other one in the buttocks.
While driving away, Shiesty failed to notice that a Louis Vuitton bag containing 40,912k cash was falling from the driver’s seat of the McLaren as it exited the parking lot.
Days before the robbery took place. Shiesty had been uploading pictures of him to his Instagram account. In this photo, you can see him flexing with money.
The feds downloaded these photos, zoomed in, and found the serial number on one of the $100 bills recovered from the LV bag. Not only this is evidence but in Shiesty’s photos, he was also posing with the same green McLaren car as in the incident.
Pooh Shiesty has pleaded not guilty to a four-count federal indictment carrying a possible maximum sentence of life in prison.
Later this month, Shiesty and his legal team will be working to get the rapper freed. His trial begins on October 25.
