On  January 14, six individuals were rushed to the hospital, one of whom was in critical condition at an event hall in Oregon on Friday night.

The incident occurred in WOW Hall, just west of the University of Oregon, as rappers Lil Bean and Zay Bang performed.

No suspects had been arrested, according to police.

Officers arrived at the WOW Hall in Eugene around 9:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting, according to police.

The Eugene Police Department detailed the situation in a tweet.

“Shots fired at WOW Hall, five people transported to local hospital. Reports came in at 9:29 p.m. reports of multiple shots fired at WOW Hall, 219 W. 8th Avenue. EPD & multiple law enforcement agencies responded, along with Eugene Springfield Fire.”

“What law enforcement found when they came on the scene is what you would exactly expect when six people just got shot,” Police Chief Chris Skinner stated at a press conference. “People are just trying to get out of here, their friends are on the ground, they’re trying to help.”

According to Police Chief Chris Skinner, six people were rushed to the hospital, with at least one of them in critical condition. The degree of the other injuries was unknown at the time.

According to police and WOW Hall leaders, the incident occurred in a back parking area outside the venue.

No suspects had been apprehended, according to police. When officers arrived, Skinner reported “chaos” and claimed investigators had not received much information from potential witnesses.

WOW Hall issued a statement on its website recognizing the shooting but declined to comment further.

The message said, “We at the WOW Hall want to thank all first responders who came so quickly to ensure everyone’s safety and administer first aid. “We believe all staff and volunteers are safe and accounted for.”

According to the police chief, investigators have not decided whether the shooting was random or targeted.

The only potential description of the gunman, according to police, was a “guy with a hoody.” Anyone with information is encouraged to call 541-682-5162, the Eugene Police Department’s tip line.
