Who is rapper Big Scarr ?

Big Scarr was born Alexander Woods on April 7 2000 and he grew up in the Magnolia neighborhood of South Memphis.

In the short time since his debut, Scarr has already racked up 193 million lifetime views on youtube and been signed to Gucci Mane’s label.

Scarr was raised by his father after living with his grandmother till she died when he was 13. In an interview, Scarr expressed about his father: “Real talk. My dad showed me how to be a man. He was in the streets, but he was always able to take care of me and my brothers and sisters and make sure we had what we needed. Everything I know I learned from him, the streets, how to be disciplined, and about God. That’s my dawg right there.”

The young rapper was trying to make it through school while his father was teaching him how to move in the streets, but school was never something he was particularly interested in. He spent most of the day missing classes.

At 16 years old Scarr was involved in a serious car accident that sent him flying through the front windshield. The rapper somehow miraculously survived the accident and got away with scars on his eyes, nose, and the entire side of his face, which inspired his chosen stage name we all know him as now “Big Scarr”.

During an interview with DJ Booth, Scar revealed that he had never considered music as a career option and had no desire to become a rapper. However, that soon changed thanks to his homie Baby K, who was trying to make it as a rapper back then.

Baby K was the one who encouraged him to pursue a rap career. Scarr decided to give it a go after seeing how much his homie Baby K was enjoying his rap career, and lo and behold, it worked out well for him.

In 2019 Scarr would make his musical debut with his single “Make A Play”

The debut track from Big Scarr, "Make A Play," has gained more than 9 million views

Just when Scarr was about to take over in the rap scene, he got caught by a gunshot that nearly killed him. After recovering from his injuries he teamed up with Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano for his single “SolcyBoyz ” which went viral.

Further solo singles like ‘I Would Keep Going,’ ‘Trap house,’ ‘Dead Opps,” and others would set the stage for Scarr’s debut studio album “Big Grim Reaper.”
