Los Angeles, CA — Recently surfaced footage of rapper Blueface in jail has drawn a sharp reaction from his mother, Karlissa Saffold, who was clearly displeased with what she saw. The video, showing Blueface with new tattoos covering his face, sparked a response from Karlissa, who didn’t hold back in criticizing her son’s latest choices.

Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Jamall Porter, is currently serving a four-year prison sentence at North Kern State Prison in central California. He landed there after violating his probation, which was linked to a 2021 assault case involving an attack on a nightclub bouncer in Los Angeles. While the rapper now has access to educational and vocational programs in prison, his mother seems to feel he’s prioritizing the wrong things.

“You Play Arts and Crafts on Your Face”

In a series of posts, Karlissa didn’t hold back her frustration. She began with a sarcastic yet concerned message for her son: “Good morning, Son! May God bless your mind, body, and soul. The kids are praying for you and having a blast. Love you. Come home better, stronger, wiser.”

But her tone quickly shifted as she addressed the tattoos: “Your kids are suffering… Javaughn’s confidence has fallen, and you play arts and crafts on your face is diabolical. Your half a father wasn’t as sad as you are right now. You better start praying and pull yourself together!”

Karlissa, who is known for being vocal about her family matters, expressed deep disappointment, suggesting Blueface is failing to meet his responsibilities as a father to his three children: “You’re about to piss me all the f*cking way off because you weren’t supposed to turn out like the rest of them fatherless, weak-ass crybaby losers. You have to feed these kids until they graduate college! Get your shit together, lil boy!!!!”

A Tarnished Legacy?

Blueface’s public struggles have been well-documented, from legal troubles to family drama that often plays out on social media. For Karlissa, the new face tattoos seem symbolic of a deeper problem: a lack of focus on his role as a father and a man.

“This isn’t what I prayed for,” she lamented in another post. “It’s like I pray, and then this 😭.”

A Second Chance?

Blueface’s current situation at North Kern State Prison in central California offers him opportunities for personal growth. The facility provides inmates with educational and vocational programs designed to help them reintegrate into society after their release. Whether Blueface will take advantage of these resources remains to be seen.

Karlissa however, is adamant that he must use this time to reflect and change.

“You are more than a lame-ass jail ninja,” she declared. “You’re a child of God and a father of three.”

Karlissa captioned her Instagram post: “Y’all pray for my son because I’m tired 😭 and if you get on this post that I’m sending you my son talking about that’s why my kids that came out with my shit don’t talk to me you won’t be talking to me either! Because I’m blocking you”

The Road Ahead

Blueface is currently serving his sentence at North Kern State Prison, with his release date set for July 2025. The rapper has kept his fans updated on his return home, recently sharing the news through an Instagram Story. However, his release could still be influenced by his behavior in prison and other factors that might impact the length of his sentence.

In the meantime, his mother, Karlissa Saffold, remains vocal in her frustration and concern. Despite their strained relationship, she hasn’t given up on him, pushing him to reflect on his responsibilities as a father and make better choices moving forward. What happens next is uncertain, but one thing is clear: the road to redemption is still ahead of him.
