Chicago Rapper FBG Cash Shot and Killed
Tristan Hamilton a popular Chicago-based rapper, better known as FBG Cash, was shot and killed Friday morning June 10.
The incident occurred approximately at 5:30 AM in Auburn Gresham neighborhood’s 1600 block of West 81st Street, Chicago IL.
The 31-year-old South Side rapper, who was affiliated with the late FBG Duck, was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle when he was shot. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the Chicago Police Department, Cash was in a vehicle with a 29 years old female passenger when someone approached the car and opened fire on both of them.
As per authorities, the female passenger was shot in the left arm and upper back. She was rushed to the hospital Christ in severe condition, but she survived the incident despite her injuries.
The unidentified shooter then fled westbound in a black four-door sedan.
Detectives are presently investigating the attack, but no one has been arrested or identified as a suspect. The motivation for the murder is still unknown.
This is yet another high-profile murder of a Chicago rapper in two years: FBG Duck whose real name was Carlton Weekly died after being shot in broad daylight on the Gold Coast in 2020 by four members of a street gang.
Cash was detained in April on suspicion of being implicated in the killing of FBG Duck. He called the claim a “crazy internet rumor” and denied any involvement.
FBG Cash, along with Lil Jay, Wooski, Billionaire Black, Young Mello, FBG Dutchie, and the late FBG Duck, was a member of Chicago’s Fly Boy Gang [FBG] crew, also known as the Clout Boyz or “tooka gang.”
On FBG Cash Instagram page, his latest post was a short clip from his upcoming music video “Crazy Lane” which was set to release on Friday.
