Donda 2 will NOT be available on Apple, Amazon, Spotify, or YouTube.

On Tuesday (Feb. 22) Kanye West announced on social media that the ‘Donda 2‘ Experience will broadcast live exclusively on the new Stem Player device.

The ‘Donda 2’ live event took place in Miami’s LoanDepot Park on Tuesday night at 8 P.M ET, just hours before the album’s release.

Last week Kanye posted on his Instagram that Donda 2 will only be accessible through his new Stem Player, which cost $214.50. The album will NOT be available on Apple, Amazon, Spotify, or Youtube.

“Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player. Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or Youtube. Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take control and build our own. Go to stemplayer.com now to order.”

The device Stem Player is now available for $200 and it allows users to remix the album’s tracks using vocals, drums, bass, samples, effects, and more.

Kanye West said over the weekend that he had generated over $2.2 million in Stem Player sales in the 24 hours following his statement that the Stem Player would be the only way to listen to ‘Donda 2.’

In a since-removed Instagram post, Ye wrote: “I walked away from Apple right after having the most number 1’s in Apple history. Song Writers have been really hurt by streaming platforms.

Ye continued writing: “Some say I’m the only one who can make this change. So as the leading innovator in the music of the past 20 years. I’m putting my own work on the line to change it. I’ve already won by not being afraid to move. Now we’re winning because there are true supporters that have invested their hard-earned money in my vision of freedom.”

In regard to the album, Kanye confirmed the 22-song tracklist for Donda 2 in a handwritten letter he posted on Instagram on Friday, writing the photo, “Adding stems version of City of Gods,” which has since been removed.

Kanye West announced on Twitter the Donda 2 listening event

After several release dates were tossed around, the album was modified and multiple features were removed. Donda 2 was eventually released after three listening parties.

Those who were watching the Livestream before the event started saw a nonstop, beating heart rhythm for the first two hours and 45 minutes. As Kanye West appeared to walk on water, a replication of the rapper’s childhood home took up much of the arena, with fires burning inside while a new song was playing that appeared to feature posthumous vocals from XXXTentacion.

Kanye West danced near the fire mansion while walking through the water while new songs were played in the stadium such as the tracks “Flowers” and the song “Eazy” which he teased with his Stem Player, were among the songs he released.

One of the songs includes a snippet of Vice President Kamala Harris’ “we did it, Joe” phone conversation, as well as West’s repeated remark “we stopped buying Louis bags after Virgil passed.”

‘DONDA 2’ PERFORMANCES

Alicia Keys, Pusha T, Migos, Jack Harlow, Fivio Foreign, Marilyn Manson, Pusha T, and even Travis Scott were among the artists who performed at the event.

The audience watched Travis Scott and Marilyn Manson perform at Ye’s event, both of whom are facing legal issues.

Travis had recently recovered from the horror of last year’s Astroworld disaster, and this was his first significant step.

Marilyn Manson is also dealing with multiple allegations and lawsuits, accusing him of sexual assault, which he has denied.

One of Kanye’s highlights during his performance was the playing of a snippet of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian‘s SNL speech from October last year, in which she praised him as ” the best rapper of all time” and the “richest Black man in America.”

Elon Musk was one of the big names that showed up to Kanye’s Donda 2 event, mingling with Rick Ross, French Montana, and a few other celebrities outside the stage.

Sound problems interrupted the performance, causing Kanye to toss his mike across the stage in frustration.

16 Tracks are added to the Stem Player
