Kodak Black is ready to return to the music industry after finishing a 90-day drug rehabilitation program.

The rapper had a court appearance earlier this week to begin his supervised release after being discharged from the treatment clinic, according to insiders, and his lawyer, Bradford Cohen, claimed the judge was satisfied with the star’s progress.

Kodak is ‘looking forward to making good music, and is going to attempt to stay away from people, places, and things that would put him in danger, or trigger him to use again,’ Cohen told the source.

The rapper wants to perform in other countries, but he’s still analyzing his options as to where he’ll play next.

After failing a drug test and breaking the rules of his supervised release in his federal gun case, Kodak was ordered to seek treatment in September.

In October, fans were treated to a special performance from the artist as he returned to the stage at Rolling Loud California.

Black tested positive for marijuana and MDMA in two separate tests this year, violating the terms of his supervised release in his federal gun case earlier this year.

In February, the Florida rapper tested positive for marijuana, and then in August, for MDMA.

He was subsequently sentenced to a 90-day treatment program by a judge, and he was recently granted permission to finish the last 30 days of his therapy in a facility in Florida, where specialists believe he will have a better chance of recovery.

After being convicted of making a false statement in order to obtain a firearm in 2019, Black was sentenced to 46 months in prison but was released halfway through his sentence after receiving a pardon from Trump on his last day in office.

In September, Kodak announced that he’ll be a father for the second time, as his fiancée, Maranda Johnson, is expecting their first child, a daughter.

Kodak already has a six-year-old son, King, from a prior relationship, so this will be his second child.

There’s no information on when the singer will release new music.
