In July 2021, SAINt JHN, Brittany Byrd, and director Jeymes Samuel were holding a lunch meeting concerning a business initiative at Dialog Cafe in West Hollywood at the time of the event.
Lil Uzi arrived shortly in his Cadillac Escalade, hopped out of the car, and challenged everyone in the room. Apparently, Uzi attempted to punch SAINt JHN but failed, tumbling to the ground and causing Lil Uzi's firearm to slip out of his pocket.
Uzi reportedly assaulted Brittany after she approached him by punching her repeatedly in the face after pointing his gun at her chest.
Brittany finally spoke up about the frightening experience a week after the incident occurred. “Don't y'all say protect black women right? I'm a black woman,” she posted on Twitter.
Uzi's ex-girlfriend filed a police report in July 2021 stating that the Philly rapper Uzi assaulted her.
The rapper faces three felony counts as a result of the incident: assault with a firearm, criminal threats, and domestic violence. He was also charged with a misdemeanor for carrying a loaded gun, but Lil Uzi will avoid jail time thanks to a new plea agreement.
Lil Uzi Vert pleaded no guilty in court to one count each of felony assault with a firearm and misdemeanor harm to a girlfriend, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
As a result, Uzi was sentenced to three years of formal probation, one year of treatment for mental health and substance abuse, 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling, restitution, and a ten-year criminal protective order.
