Louisiana Rapper JayDaYoungan Has Reportedly Passed Away At Age 24

It is with a heavy heart that we must report the passing of Javorius Scott better known as JayDaYoungan, who was tragically shot and killed on Wednesday evening at age 24.

On July 27, shortly before six o'clock in the evening, JayDaYoungan was shot outside a house in his native area. He was brought to a local hospital, where he later passed tragically. According to witnesses, he was not breathing when rescue personnel arrived.

Even though Youngan was still actually fighting for his life, internet death rumors were quickly spread on social media.

The rapper's sister Kenya Janell brought attention to these claims, which were spread by a number of “trusted” sources, and put an end to them with the following tweet:

“I hate you internet freak n***** and hoes, stop tryna confirm s*** y'all don't f****** know bulls*** asses”.

“AINT NOBODY F*** DEAD STOP D** EATING AND GO READ BOOK”

However, as the hours passed, her tweets became more worrying when she tweeted:

“I literally can't believe this. I'm so in distraught oh my f**** god.”

In her most recent tweet, Kenya Janell's shared a photo of herself and her brother with the phrase:

“I can't believe I'm even typing this, literally my brother … my brother … my eyes are so puffed out. I can't stop crying .. why did you leave me like this babe.”

Carena, Youngan's girlfriend has spoken out on her Instagram page following the tragedy, she wrote:

“I thank God my last words to you were I love you, I hope you know how much tho…. Im so hurt bae, how could you leave me like that I would've never left you …. EVER , one thing we could do is make each other smile, such a kind hearted sweet soul… the thing I admired about you most is you forgave, always… and that's all that really matters bby.. That's what God wants the most out of everyone so I know you made him proud… first mazi now you ion know how I can keep going… im sooooo hurt… my best friend, my headache, my husband, my everything, my baby, you didn't deserve this… i still can't believe it …. Watch over mazi for me my love! I'll never forget you or what we had.. fell in love with you the first day I met you… and haven't been a day without talking since… this gonna be so hard for me …. but I know you would want me to be strong… I'll try but ion kno bae”

Youngan passed away later that evening after suffering significant blood loss as a result of his injuries. We have been informed that a close family member of the rapper was also hit, but he is currently in stable condition after being transported to a different hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the shooting incident. Although some sources claim that the family member, who was with Youngan during the tragedy is his father, has not been confirmed.

A representative for the Bogalusa Police Department reported that they were called just before six on Wednesday night regarding a gunshot at a residence on Superior Ave.

Also mentioned another shooting that occurred in the same area an hour after the tragic incident potentially involving the Louisiana rapper.

The Bogalusa Police Department reported on Facebook:

“On Wednesday, July 27th, 2022 at 5:50 pm the Bogalusa Police Department received a call of a shooting in the 600 block of Superior Avenue. Officers responded and found that one victim had been transported by POV to Our Lady of the Angels Emergency Room. Another victim, still on scene, was critically wounded and was treated on scene by EMS, then transported to OLA ER. Their condition cannot be released at this time.

While working a chaotic scene at the hospital, and working the crime scene on Superior Avenue, another shooting took place in the 800 block of Marshall Richardson Road shortly after 7:00 pm. In that case, a vehicle was shot, possibly related to the first shooting. The occupants were not hit. Detectives are also actively working that crime scene.

This is a very fluid situation and the information we can release is limited at this time. Our Officers are working diligently to identify the subjects responsible for these crimes. We have several outside agencies assisting at this time.

The latest update from the police department confirmed the passing of Javorious Scott Aka JayDaYoungan.

The statement reads: “We can now identify the victims as Javorius Scott, A.K.A. JayDaYoungan, and close family member Kenyatta Scott Sr. We can also confirm that Javorius Scott has died as a result of his injuries. Kenyatta Scott Sr. has been transported to another facility and we have been told he is in stable condition.”

Detectives are still investigating the incident and have not released any information about possible suspects or motives at this time. “Further information will follow as it becomes available”.

Dilemaradio is shocked by the passing of JayDaYoungan.

Youngan was just 24 years old. He was a rising star in the Louisiana hip-hop scene, and his music has been supported by Dilemaradio since 2017. The station started broadcasting Youngan music, and one of his first songs “No Hook Freestyle” was on repeat while it was climbing the charts.

“We are deeply saddened by this loss,” said Tine. “JayDaYoungan was a talented artist who had so much ahead of him.”
