Playboi Carti launches his own toy line
Playboi Carti‘s 2020 Christmas album “Whole Lotta Red” has become one of the most impactful hip-hop albums of the past year.
The album was not only certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) but it was also named No. 1 on the Rolling Stones’ 2021 Hip-Hop Albums of the Year list.
Carti teased a follow-up album, NARCISSIST, in early autumn 2021, but he hasn’t released any music since.
The rapper appears to have turned his attention away from music and to another artistic endeavor: action figurines.
Photos of new Playboi Carti action figurines in various attire began to circulate on Thursday (Jan. 6).
The photographs were previously uploaded on Carti’s label Opium’s Instagram page, but have since been removed.
The Playboi Carti dolls are quite remarkable in terms of details.
The rapper’s doll is created fit and tattooed, with hair painted colors of yellow and red, and dressed in a variety of fashionable outfits for the collection.
Carti wearing devil horns, Carti wearing big ol’ Balenciaga sunglasses, Carti shirtless in Calvin Klein underwear, and much more.
The accessories, which include Chrome Hearts jewelry, Rick Owens sneakers, 1017 ALYX 9SM boots, and a blunt (complete with lighter), are maybe the greatest part of the entire doll set.

Though Carti removed the dolls’ normal photographs, he did keep a video of one of the figurines in a Whole Lotta Red-branded box — the album was released on December 25, 2020, so it’s just been a year, and these toys could’ve been made to commemorate the occasion.
The side has accessories and various features, while the front and top have red branding.
There have been claims that the box contains a code for the unreleased Narcissist, but there has been no confirmation of this.
Carti has been on the road for the past several months, dressed in Balenciaga and riding gear, but has yet to announce anything about the new record.

There’s no official announcement on when the dolls will be released.
Carti’s web store is still offline and the Narcissist merchandise is still unavailable.
