Yung Bleu “Best New Hip Hop Artist” BET Award 2021

On October 5, 2021, the 16th Annual Hip Hop BET Award 2021 took place. Broadcast from Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, located in the suburban city of Cumberland/Galleria, northwest Atlanta, Georgia.

The nominees for the best new Hip-Hop artist were Blxst, Coi Leray, Don Toliver, Morray, Pooh Shiesty, and Yung Bleu.

The win went to Boosie’s artist “Yung Bleu”.

Singer and songwriter Jeremy Biddle, know professionally as Yung Bleu was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. 

Yung Bleu has experienced increasing levels of success with songs like “Miss It” (2017) and “You’re Mines Still”(2020).

After Drake remixed the song “You’re Mines Still”, it appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 which peaked at number 18.

The Alabama rapper, discovered by Boosie, “singed a deal with Columbia Records through Boosie Badazz label “Bad Azz Music Syndicate.”

Boosie had him signed a new deal with Empire which made Blue give him 100K cash as gratitude.

During an interview with Vlad Tv, Yung Bleu said “I take care, looking out of everybody that looked out for me.”

The 27-year-old multi-platinum artist linked up with the Davido in Lagos, Nigeria, for the official music video to their ‘Moon Boy’ collaboration, “Unforgiving.” The music video is directed by Dammy Twitch.
